my mate has been offered the chance to swop his escort cossie which is in need of a rebuild for a saphire cossie
the saphire has had a £2500 bare metal respray stunning finish,
freshly built and mapped 392bhp with 414 ib/torque engine,
new wrc rally loom,greys,t34 hybrid cut back blades etc,500 cooler etc you get the pic,everything has been replaced on it ,it truly is stunning
would you do a straight swop
this will be a interesting one

no worth about 6k in my opinon (saff) but i have not seen the car escort cozzy are on the up you dont get anyting decent for less than 13k so minus 3k for good rebuilt leaves 10k

at the worst go and buy a good 2nd hand engine for the Escos lets say u spend £1500 with £500 - £600 labour =£2200 even if you was to sell the Escos for £10,000 at the worst it's still £7800 left and I bet u could get a very nice Saff for that and have some change! imo

ps and u could get some money back for the old engine whole or in bits

Get the saff sounds great hard to find a mint saff nowdays

What cond is the escort in apart from the engine ( bodywork, trim,rust etc..



If the Escort did only cost £8500 and is blown up seen better days go for it.I would have a mint saff any day than a worn out blown up escort cos

IMO escorts cos are well over priced even the latest ones are now 10 years old
TBH can`t see why they hold there money so much
