Default solid followers

im building a new engine for my 3 door ele, big spec wheres the best place to get solid followers and shims and can you use 1.8d ford ones as ive been told these can be used

ul need good valve springs with the diesel ones as they are heavy. if its turbod yb then standards are ok up to 8k rpm in my opinion

newman double valve springs are good because there's no modding required to the head.
i think stu @ motorsport developments sells them on his ebay shop.

what cams are you running and what power?

steveboyslim can supply solids and shims, pretty sure he'll have them on the shelf. Just drop him a pm.

Why not ask your mapper? If he knows more about the cams than you then surely he/she can advise on correct springs? You need to know the cam specs to decide on springs to avoid any binding issues.

Personally I would get a Cam/Follower/Spring combo set from whoever ground your cams to avoid any expensive issues.

If you do know them and need the followers and shims then Steve Slim will no doubt have the Arrow ones on the shelf.
