thinking of going to watch the scottish open this year at loch lomond, wondering wheres the best place to stay just something cheap and cheerful like a premier inn etc is there something close ?!?!!?

ardliu, hotel just down the bottom end of the loch. kept my mates boat down there for years, they are sound.

I doubt there will be anywhere very cheap or cheerful when the Open is drawing the crowds.

Helensburgh is not far from loch lomond, and has hotels. Less golfers too, as they're all staying at Ardlui
