Thumbs up What controls the rev on a frst?

Bought A frst for a bit of fun & the rev counter is not working properly,it only goes to 3k but the engine goes right to the rev limit. Can anyone tell me where it gets its rev range from, im running a omex ecu & a t3 hybrid Etc Etc

Yes running a omex ecu.
The black top part has had the omex loom put in it i think.

Its going back to powerengineering in a few weeks for a set up as they did the work on it a few years back.

Mine runs an omex 600 and doesn't sun the eodis module so yours may not either? On the omex 600 onwards the ecu has a wire from the ecu that you run to the rev counter then as said set it up via the ecu. As yours is a fiesta it will have efi clocks so should be easy enough to do.

Would be better controlled by ecu if it supports it, as you can then jig around the ecu settings to work a tacho perfect whatever it has come from, ie coilpack tacho to normal coil ignition swap etc no problem.
I'm just about to put a mk2 grandad ghia V6 tacho in mine as I like them, so need to chage the settings.

The boy i bought it off said a m8 have put his laptop on it to do something ,so mite have fucked it up , as he did not have the omex software, cock!!

& my fuel gauge does not go lower than 1/4 of a tank.Is there a sender on it .
