Improving diesal economy...
...me and a few mates at school often have chats about cars, as you do, but we were stumped when someone said how would they improve the economy.
wasnt about a particular car, or just diesels but how to improve economy, just wondered how it could be done

by altering the ECU map to throw in less fuel when not needed, basically.

fit an ebay fuel magnet for 33% better economy and 25bhp more power.

my little van does 80 miles extra to a £35 tank full after a map!
im into the 500 miles to a tank now!
and its 35bhp up on power
she flies!

my 54 plate 1.3 corsa cdti, for the comute to devon and back, perfect for my use at the moment lol
it really suprises people how well she goes at nearly 30psi

yeah 700 miles a week, but its returning 65+ mpg!
its actually costing me less per week in fuel than the m5 used to, and i only did 200 miles a week in that

schoolkids talking about diesel economy?! i thought schoolkids just talked about how to attatch their mums ironing board and empty bake bean cans to the back of their mums cars to pull the 'hotties' at the local carpark??

Best way would be to learn to drive properly, advanced course or similar.
Forward planning, reading the road ahead etc.

I'm currently enjoying 28mpg in the Cupra
That is with me being sensible too!
Worst it has been is around the 10mpg mark. Good job I have a fuel card
