Default turbo type

hi i have recently bought a recon turbo
when i bought it i was told it was a T3 Hybrid
but recently sum1 said that it dont look like 1 as the
compressor wheel looks too small
any1 no how i can tell wot it is exactly

The compressor wheel has nothing to do with what size shaft the turbo has inside the core.

Has the comp housing got bolt holes/fixings?

The only way to tell for sure is ask who the person who built it, or take it apart and have alook. There are soooooo many Turbo's that come on different cars that you could never be 100% sure. E.g A Saab, Volvo has the same size T3 shaft, yet the compressor wheels are slightly different.

Have you got a picture of the turbo in question as this may help us tell you what it is.

looks like a 4x4 cos 60 trim t3 to me

what number is stamped on the inside of the exhaust housing?

there isnt any numbers stamper inside the exhaust housing not that i can see
anyway unless u mean inside the turbine outlet
thats 42 and 2 on the opposite side
these r all the other numbers on it
exgaust housing:
430557-11B A
2268
turbine housing
409115 54
pat no 3058787
M27
GIL4
and it says AiResearch

i belive its a t3 on the exshust side and a t28 on the comp side

cant be a 4wd the actuator bracket mounts on the front on the compressor housing not behind

correct but not all covers do ie machined 2wd = 4wd many ppl do it but Nooooooooooooooooooo neeeeeeeeeed lol just buy the proper one
