Default Woohoo! Just bought a Mac #1 Motorsport kit car

It's a Mac #1 Motorsports Type ZR and will be powered by a 2ltr Zetec engine.

Deposit left, going back to collect my first stage of the kit just before xmas

it will look similar to this (once i've built it, lol)

I had a run out in the one above this afternoon with Mark who co-owns Mac #1 Motorsports,
it's powered by a 187bhp Kawasaki ZX10R engine and weighs in at 435kg

The website is currently down but here it is for anyone who's interested when its back up and running

The Mac#1 website is currently down due to being hacked recently, but when its working normally it has a full breakdown of the prices and whats in each kit etc.

The base kit for the Type ZR is Ł2400 inc vat, after that Mac have split it up nicely into 7 further stages to make it easier to budget for and assemble the car, but it's entirely up to you what you buy and when, you dont need to stick to the stages if you dont want to.

In total the 8 stages of the kit total around Ł5500 but on top of that are all the optional extras and upgrade bits, plus you need the parts from your donor car... engine, box, diff, propshaft, driveshafts, hubs etc.

I'd love to go Cosworth YB but realistically it'll be a Zetec at first or maybe forever, lol. I'll start a thread once i get the kit and begin to asseble it

See the links below to the brochure i noticed i had saved on my laptop, although bear in mind the prices listed are about to change in the near future.

That would be the plan, space is quite limited for intercooling etc but it's been done before so not impossible.
