battery warning light

my battery warning light has just come on since i have fitted some gauages to my sapphire cosworth and my rev counter ha stopped working i have also just fitted a new alternator i was wondering if it was an earth problem and if i fitted another earth from engine to battery tray would help

guess u got a duff alternator fella think it drives the rev counter as well

or you fucked up the installation of alternator/gauges.
