Default Best tyre's for the Focus RS

A friend of mine has just got his Mk1 FRS and as clean and nice as it is the tyres are cheap and shite. He's wanting to replace all four and has a few idea's but really wants the best he can get. He won't be tracking it but it will get used fairly hard on the road, within the limits . please could anyone advise on the best all round tyre for his needs, money no object? Cheers

i had spec 2 i personally found them shit in the wet and lasted under 10k. Id say tires r a personal thing sum ppl will hate a tire u rate. Im on toyo t1r's now. Better in wet than spec 2's but in really hot weather the spec 2's were far better. But we live in England so it's rarely hot. Lmao

Yeah he's well happy, I think he really wants to keep it as near to standard as he can but i've got a feeling that may go out the window once he gets some money back in the bank.

cheers guy for your advice, I think your right that everyone likes some that others don't. A mate of mine was running stunners of all things on his 4x4 saf and when he changed to f1's after told they were the choise tyre he couldn't stand them, they gripped ok but he really couldn't get the feeling or confidence back he once had.

the f1's grip well but wear so quickly due to soft compound...

I have a set of Parada spec 2's on at the minute (there not mine, there a friends) and i just feel that there abit spongey, like the sidewalls are too soft. I feel the turn it and change of direction isn't as good with them. But the grip is excellent in the dry.

I'm on my second set of T1-S (better than T1-R if you can find old stock of them) and I rated them higher than the PS1's it came from the factory with!
