Not a ford, but a 1985 mini with a 1380 turbo engine. 185 bhp at the wheels with printout, but it felt so fast! It was a m8's, and it was really light. claimed it was 400 bhp/tonne, but i dont know for sure.

Driven: My 400bhp RWD Saff used to squirm a bit with the welded diff or my XR2 Zetec Turbo was a handful in the wet. Torque steering across lanes when I had the standard box back in whilst my Stage 2 + was getting rebuilt was a little extreme

Been in: Lotus Carlton was quite brutal acceleration but I was younger when I went out in it. Also my cousins chipped 1990 Mustang GT (manual) in the wet was fun, as was the 7.7 litre Pontiac GTO Judge, and 6.6 Pontiac Firebird. Loved American Muscle cars since then.

Mini's weigh around 660kg, maybe less if it was stripped.

If it was 660kg and 185bhp @ fly, then that works out about 280bhp/tonne.

My nova.

Have also driven a few turbo westys, 600bhp cossies etc, but they are all pretty tame and boring compared to my nova.
They are also far better, but just not as much fun as they dont permenantly feel like they are about to kill you, nothing makes you feel more alive than facing death

For me it has to be a 720hp mustang last year for around 20 minutes. My boss owned it and asked me to drive it home for him once. To say I was scared was a bloody understatement.

Lister Mk7 for monster torquey grunt, Maclaren F1 for out and out supercar madness, but the scariest thing i`ve ever driven was a TVR Tuscan Challenge car, absolutely fooking terrifying in the damp at Oulton Park.........

I swear i could hear the thing chuckling as i strapped in

Been lucky enough to drive some very nutty cars, but probably the most extreme journey was from Elvington back to my house in a 1.4 Caterham Superlight (250 miles). Seemed like a good idea at the time, but I realised it was a foolish idea about 10 seconds after setting off!

It's going back a few years, but I had a lot of 'fun' in a Vectra Super Touring car thing that some mental race team made road legal, and lent us for a week (when i worked on Revs) It was a full on race car with sequential shift, one bucket seat and rock hard track suspension. We all caned the shit out of it around Peterborough, and it was a proper giggle.

between the petrol guage not working and the dam thing blowing up it was xtremely hard wearing on my boxers
having to get in the car and before even turning the key praying it starts up then once it has started up praying it gets u where u wanna go.

Probably my old Evo at 383bhp craziest car l have driven, craziest car l have been in is a customers of Mark Sheads, 650bhp Evo 6 getting sideways in 3rd that was crazy,

360 around Monaco was ok,

I am going to test drive a GT3 when a certain little blond lady friend manages to slap a sales manager....... either that or Mr Manning will be convinced to take me for a run in his 996 Turbo before l blow my cash on something else

fastest car a can safely say ive driven is my rx7. sadly the engine only lasted 6000miles rip. but god it would go
