Shelby 500
Went up my mates workshop this morning and he has a Genuine Cobra GT500 in
The guy who owns it has spent the last 18 Years doing a full nut and bolt resto and everything is 100% period correct
He was so scared to drive it, my mate had to go and collect it, "what a bummer" he said lol
Anyway,my mate was the first to drive it since the rebuild and he has it in for final set up and to check everything over seeing as he is a yank nut.
Got the pics on my phone so they are not as good as they could be but you get the idea and can see what you need to see
Minty mint but pity someone scribbled on the glove box door
Here it is up on the ramps for the first time. sounds the nuts
Dont you just want it
and at the heart of it all beats a 428cu in v8 , check the twin holley's and thats from the Factory !!!!
Regards
Ian

theres a mustang like that (not sure if its a shelby or whatnot , but deffo a fastback) that very rarely rears its head near me, and its a similar colour to moonstone with white or silver stripes, i like that

All american car's are like buses on a (none thought about) suspension LOL.
^^^ That there my mate has owned american car's for 10 year's and each time he get's one the suspension is straight off an replaced with decent part's .
She look's sexy mate granted ,
But i would take a YB 3DR anyday of the week
American's way of doing thing's"Brute force and stupidity"

thats a piece of history there, but the colour is bloody awful, but thats the late 60's for you!
if i was gonna go to town on it i would have pulled off them leaf springs and made it more modern, better chance of it staying on the road then!!
