Just brought a 99k mile Mondeo LX 04
£2300 No sevice book
Now with the paperwork i can trace most of the history from the dealers that did the servicing if not all the history
how much would this add to the value
also said if i was to take the book to then NEW one they would stamp the dates they serviced

The kind of buyer that is going to demand this kind of documentation can be a handful. They'd talk your price down by the amount it would add. They'd never look under the bonnet or get on their knees though.

It's a mondy with 99k. Service records on a 2002 Aston Martin yeah...

Don't sweat it bud.

A stamped up service book wouldn't make me pay more for it, unless backed up with various recipets for servives and work

That isn't a miss-spelling though, it's the wrong word.
Like draw for drawer, or a million other examples in everyday use nowadays.
Just another small step towards hell in a handcart!!!

Personally if I were looking to buy any used car I would expect at least some service history. Without it how would you know the car hasn't done 299k? My old man's passat has done 260k and looks/drives like a 50k car! On the other end of the scale, a girl I know has just bought a 52 reg corsa from a sales pitch which is showing 46k but looks more like 146k to me. Suprise, suprise it has no service history As said it doesn't add much value but will certianly help with the sale

£2,300 sounds quite a good price for an old Mondeo with 99,000 miles.
