Default cosworth idle valve / anti lag / tps issue

ive got a 2wd cosworth which is running a l8 ecu and i cannot get it to idle right, the idle valve is constantly wide open but as soon as you turn on the anti lag on it cuts all the power to the idle valve and ticks over fine, ive tryed another loom is does exactly the same, ive tryed moving the tps and it does the same? im stuck any ideas or advice?

and also the amal valve clicks every time you move the throttle and if you disconnect the tps it makes no difference?

Maybe nothing to do with it but isn't there a wiring differance between the 2 types of tps? Surly switching als on should open the icv rather than close it?

Assume you've swapped the outer two wires over on the tps, if using a 2wd tps ?

Sounds like a TPS issue Butch - I had the same issues after modifying my throttle body - idle was 3000 rpm and the ISCV was wide open - cured by adjusting the TPS

if you are still using the 2wd loom then check that you have swapped the outer 2 wires on the tps and that your tps is a PF09

RS1 - when activated by the switch, the ALS system shuts the ISCV fully untill the parameters of activation for the ALS are met - IE, throttle open more than 1/2, more than X-rpm etc etc then the LAS valve is fully opened when the ignition timing is adjusted for the ALS to function

What loom are you on?
If on a 2wd loom you need to swap the 2 outer wires round and you have to have a pf09 4wd tps.
The 4x4 and 2wd tps' work opposite to each other.
4wd is 0-4.4v closed-open it should b under 0.35v at idle, mines at 0.16v
2wd is 5v-0v closed to open.

And for reference the chips come off idle strategy at 1000rpm.

I guess it's a pf09 as well?
If it reads 0-5v smoothly then it's not that.

whats it like with the tps and iscv disconnected?
it should idle ok,
then plug them in 1 by 1, as you plug the iscv in it should pick the revs up then settle back down to around 900
and if you then plug the tps in and it idles really high, then its too advanced and you need to back off the tps.

revs stay high if the tps is plugged in or not as soon as you turn the anti lag on or disconnect the idle valve it ticks over fine
