Default Weird turbo config

So,

Was messin' about reading how turbos work, tryin to understand different housing sizes, compressor trim and stuff, came accross this

I now understand whats wrong, and laughed when i realised.

Guess many peeps here will spot the mistake immediately, but thought it was worth a look anyway.

Is it they will both have more lag than if it was just the one? i.e the small one isn't feeding the larger turbo?

only 2 cyl are feeding each turbo.

that is NOT how twin turbos work lol

That pic just looks stupid, doesn't make any sense.

Seemingly as air flow follows the path of least resistance, it'll all escape through the bigger turbo, causing the smaller one never to spool up. Completely useless.

Just thought it was a mad pic.

Think it was designed for a C20LET

You'd be suprised, it wouldn't work very well, but they would both spool.

It's a bad setup I agree.

It's nowhere near as complex as something i'm working on

i would say the smaller turbos outlet facing the manifold would also cause some issues lol

Also - i can't help but wonder how turbulent the air would be trying to turn 90 degrees as it enters each turbo!

AMS seem to do a better job of twin turbo setups
