Default Live mapped boost control

I'm bored in work and have been thinking about random stuff

I was wondering that when you live map a cosworth on air injectors, is it possible to have exactly what boost you want, at what revs? (obviously depending on if the turbo can produce it)

What i mean by that is can you create a really smooth boost curve as such? Eliminate boost spikes etc, therefore making the car drive more smoothly? Just like a Focus ST - if you watch the boost gauge on those when flat out, they don't really spike like a cosworth, they kind of hold a constant psi through most of the rev range?

Probably a really crap description lol

except generally the air injector mapping is not closed loop so if anything changes (e.g. ambient temperature), then the boost will change as the mapping is just to bleed a fixed ratio
