are 83lb Siemens's injectors over kill for upto 400hp

55lb are used on a 400 bhp cossie so id say 55lb should be fine,

there only 550cc and ive just maxed out my 480cc ones so think i need a bit bigger lol

The YB Cosworth engine is very efficient in relation to the Zetec, the Brake Specific Fuel Consumption is quite different, i can't remember the exact numbers from memory.

There are some Siemens injectors between the 55s and the 83s, they're 72lb from memory, i believe we've got a set on the shelf at MSD.

They should be a nice compromise for you.

I run 83s for approx 400hp.

Only run at max 38% injector duty so there is plenty of scope to increase the power without the expense of new injectors.

Buy for the future

they sound like what im after , i only new of the 55lb and the 83lb .

how much are they??

i used siemans 650cc injectors on my engine that made 522bhp and we ran them at 92% duty so at there maxium really, should be plenty for 400bhp
