the street was jam packed so you see a space and you get in it
no signs to see where it was parked but the road curves so had a look and found 1 up there on the corner
i know broken lines are unenforcable but how?

dont want her parking too close to the kerb, she may scratch my priceless rims

Didn't realise this, but I was thinking about putting something along the lines of "Doesn't it belong in a scrap yard".

With the state of that yellow line, I would have a look all the way from one end to the other end, make sure there is 100% continuous line or it invalidates it, also make sure the ends have a bar going from the end to the pavement kerbstone, or this also invalidates it.
If it is invalid, do nothing, tell them why you consider it is invalid, but photograph it FIRST, then don't pay, if it goes to court just present your evidence.

There is a book you can buy, with all the measurements, rules and everything you ever wanted to know about road regulations and how the road markings must be set out to be legal and enforceable.
I have a copy,(aboutŁ15) will try and dig it out, and post up, or pm you as well.
