my mate just picked one up for 4500 grand cus the 4wd system wasnt working
found out it was an abs sensor disconnected
absoultely lovely cars not impressed with standard performance though but id go for it
ive seen them ranging from 7 to 10 grand and more
good luck with the choice

great until they go wrong, everything is driven by a computer, ok if you can get cheap bits but like all Jap stuff it is over complicated.
Had a GTO twin turbo, even needed a comp for the spoilers

First time i took the rear seat out of one i nearly crapped myself when i saw the sheer number of ecu's etc buried away in there, fantastic cars when they are working but im not sure i would feel very confident about every REALLY understanding how it all works.
Saying that 99% of the time when things go wrong with them you can see what needs fixing fairly easy no doubt.
Go for it i reckon, just make sure you allow a fair bit of cash for stuff like tyres and cltuches if you drive it hard.

All those that are suggesting R33/R34/M3 etc, remember there is a distinct price difference between an R32 Skyline and these other cars.
Its OK for the high flying City Boys like Dave, for whom money is no object, but here in the real world, money has to play a part!!

Sold my R32 for being boring...good launcher though ...every kid in the street shouts "skyline".....in fact if your a paedophile this is the car for you...works better than puppies according to rainbird
Oh and the price of parts is stupid...plus it wernt really a car for a DIYer ie me ...plus the tuners are a rip off
