Ok i mate i say so my mate has built a fezza turbo 2.1 outta second hand part's for just over 4k so it is possible mate there are more failed zetec's blowing up etc than CVH so they break the engine and part's they don't need simple and then u snap a bargain .
in fact buy a FRS lump for 2k job done so it can be done throw another 2k at it and see 300hp with stock internal's JOB DONE

What are u chatting chip u nut lol.
Simple fact there are more option's out there buy A FRS lump and spend very little on that save money.
You can source the part's for a zetec turbo and do it for 4k just a lil over maybe so that fact remain's correct!.

Rs Cosworth 1.
If getting 300bhp is your ONLY concern, then there are LOTS of ways to get it for 4K, I could have a LET engine into an escort and running that power for far less money than that for example.
But how the fuck is that relevant to wether or not this car is worth the money to someone who specifically wants a CVH?
If all you want is 300bhp, but a lexus LS400 for 600 quid and chip it

You seem to think the car is all about building an engine capable of the numbers and thats all. You certainly havent mentioned anything else
How about developing the installation to be relaible, sorting the suspension/handling
The interior, paintwork
The brakes
The transmission etc
You're making yourslef looka bit daft TBH. I dont doubt you could cobble together a £300bhp lump from scrap parts for £4k then sling it in an average RST and hope for the best
But it would be shit compared to the car this thread is about.

Holy shit. For answering for the question. No i dont.
My engine cost something like 1500£ including managment+mapping, turbo and headwork. I know it is not really impressive figure but i think it is "ok" for that money.
267bhp @ 20psi.

I wouldnt buy it, but if you were planning on building one yourself, then its a no brainer in my opinion. Assuming its all been done properly of course.

Who said anything about the rest of the car the discussion was upon the engine DUH!
And as i said IF YOU WAIT AND SOURCE it can be done it doesnt have to be all new part's
on the note of engine's i said the FRS lump as it's already turbo built and will save ya money i have seen FRS lump's be sold for 2k and pour another 2k into her and woop woop 300hp .
So that is my argument are u telling me you cant source part's and do it cheaper and right?!
I know load's of people who have done that and there still running so.......

yeah but tuning don't work like that you may well have 267 @ 20 psi but do you think by just turning the boost up more you will see 300 ?

On the original question of course its worth 6.5k if the shell is as good as it looks youre looking at 4k for a solid nice s2 so youre paying 2.5k for the engine transmission etc and hopefully a reliable very nice 300bhp s2, if i was after one i would get it bought

Thread Title = Would you pay £6.5k for an S2 if it was 300bhp
Whatever.
IMO, to build that car to that standard, including the shell etc starting from an average RST will set you back well in excess of £12k
SO despite your £4k on the cobbled together spare parts engine you still wont be doing it cheaper than £6.5k

Indeed I am stumped, I have attemped and failed to come down to your level, I have tried to make my replies idiotproof but you have proved to be a bigger idiots than I bargained for.
Im genuinely amazed to have encountered someone as stupid as you are TBH mate, not just in this topic but in every topic you post in.
I have no excuse for being thick, and nor do I need one, as Im not thick in the first place.
Given that you do at least appear to realise that you are thick, perhaps you should refrain from trying to participate quite so much in discussions that are clearly above your head?

I'll make it dead simple, seeing as you are.
YOU, nor anyone else could build that car for £6.5k, so it represents good value for money IF you are in the market for a 300+bhp with a solid shell, sorted chassis and minty paint.
Is that clear enough or are you going to continue licking the keyboard and posting drivel to make an irrelevant point that only you seem to care about?

As said before if your looking for a car thats already the finished article and you dont want to chuck a load of cash at a boggo standard escort well this looks like the car for you!!
If i was ever gonna buy another escort turbo (which i never will) lol i would look for one similair to this which has had the work done and is a well known car!!
The car looks the business btw so get it bought dude.
