Default Who's gone from a T34.63 to a T38?

What difference did you notice?
How much later did it spool and reach full boost?
Did you lose any driveability/low down responce around town?

What power/torque did you gain?
Any rr graphs I can see?
Any1 with a similar spec?

8-1CR
24.5mm ported head
bd10ex bd14in
greys
4x4 inlet with 10mm spacer
msd chipped
running 2bar now and probably will stay the same on the T38.

currently on a T34.63 but thinking of going to T38

Great turbo but think if you want power out or T38 then go for the Turbo Tech version, but now people are going for the GT30 now

I went from a T34.48 To a UT T38 on my saff and i have tbh i hated it, laggy as fook, made horid torque but that may of been a cam issue, wasn,t nice at all.

Made 456bhp mind you, BUT didn,t come in until around 4400revs...Grrrrrrrrr

Torque was only 347 which when i think i had 363ft/lb on my T34.48...

I,d consider a GT3071 if i was to change, or be looking again...

The reason I'm looking at a T38 is it won't cost me any money, I'm swapping it for something I don't use.
And it's a direct bolt on, GT30 will cost a small fortune.
I had a T38 a while ago and thought it was very laggy but since then I've had a rebuild to a better spec engine so didn't know how this would effect it.
I think I will fit it and see how it drives before I make up my mind.

I was running a T38 on my 4x4 saph with greys, ported head, standard cams and compression ratio and tbh I really liked that setup! Ok, if you got caught in the wrong gear, it could be a bit laggy but overall I thought it was a good setup.

Only changing it due to going for a rebuild and more power!

Since I had one I've now got a ported head, cams timed properly and a decent setup/map. Also got antilag which will help lol
didn't want it to be unresponsive and crappy round town tho.

Kev,

With a good spec engine they,ll do 460-470max..

Mine did 452 if you remember on my saff, YUM made 466 and Sheady said that,s the higest he,s seen on a T38.

My torque was a joke though, only 352ft/lb, i had more on my T34.48.. MIND YOU i think if i,d of changed my cam/s it would of given me abit more...

I found more lag from changing from a T34 .48 to .63 than from changing to a T38, to be honest the only difference i noticed was that it pulled like a twat to the limiter. After going in my friends 500 i wouldnt even compare it to a T4 lag wise.

Remember that well Dave, i think your car was ace at that Spec too,.....

It,s awesome now don,t get me wrong like... but it was a good allround package/weapon on the T38....

I must be the only one who hated this turbo....

Mind you, Mark hated it when he mapped it too....
