What's most expensive car you've ever owned?
#41
I bought a S plate UK Mr2 (rev5) when it was 5 months old back in 1998, parted with 18k for it, probably only worth a few grand now!! Then decided to spent another 2k on 18" alloys when 18's werent really around!! No loan though as i used me work bonus!!
If you want an expensive car for only a short period wouldnt leasing be a possible option?

For every story about someone who was able to run a supercar on a tight budget, there are plenty more for whom it was a considerably more expensive. The fixed price menus that have been introduced by indies, and more lately by main dealers, are, in my mind, one of the reasons that people get enticed into supercar ownership. Sadly, I think this is far from reality. In over 10 years of supercar ownership, I have never managed to get away with just the service. There is always something else that needs to be done, and that is where the dealers rub their hands with glee…The parts prices are generally beyond extortionate. To give you an amusing example, I was recently quoted £120+VAT for four valve caps for the tyres….This can taint the ownership experience, somewhat…
Good luck.
Good luck.
