Default Z3 2.0 anything to look out for?

My father in law has his heart set on one of these, we're off to look at one later.

Is there anything we should be looking out for in particular? Any common faults etc....

I'm not interested in the 3l is better or that car is better. Just the facts about these please.

Cheers
Matt.

Check for scissors and a blow dryer rolling around the back seats.

He's experiencing his mid life crisis i think he's just sold his bike and using the money from that to purchase the Z3. The bigger engines aren't within budget, the ones that are carry too many miles for his liking.

Few little common faults across the range, bushes on the seats going soft which means you get a bit of rocking in the seat back. Simple fix.
Warn rear shock top mounts can be heard with a knocking at the back. Again, easy fix.
Clutch squeaking, quick spray above the pedals with some grease sorts that.

Discs, pads and tyres can be picked up fairly cheap for the size they are.
