Every Ford in the running has either an ST170 box or MTX...which means it can only be shafts

im going to bump this thread two weeks before central day just to see how manny of these big power cars are actually going to go and do it !! as it seems we get this kind of talk all the time .
just wait till next year bla bla bla or just after totb everyone is saying wait till next year ect but sadly it never happens

p-s this not aimed at anyone in particular.

Pretty basic mods on a C20let powered Nova or Corsa will get you in the 12's easy. Like every second one at a quarter mile day get blinding times where as FWD Fords are nothing but a let down in comparison.

Its not like theres a shortage of big power fwd Fords either. Maybe the problem is too much power and not enough concentration on traction issues and chassis set ups ?

Power is not the issue, its weight! An ERST tips the scales at 985kg in standard trim, a Frst is 910kg. I have just weighed them on the same scales.

A Nova I would suppose is even lighter?

A nova let will be about the same as a Fiesta, you can get novas down to the 600's with a small block, I'd say on average most nova LETS are approx 850-900 as they have all been stripped to death.

CP are about the best pistons you can get. Harvey Gibbs and Mark Shead swear by them which certainly says something about them imo. Luca runs them in his car also.

Depends where you look. Not so badly priced in the states, but rather expensive over here.
