your right about some big powered cars out there , but it doesnt mean that there built for drag stripping. most that i know of are built for top speed but dan arrowsmith zetec turbo escort is built for the track and strip and thats 536bhp and also with some gas so i would say watch out for paul johnson , dan arrowsmith and paul roberts as all the cars are now rebuilt and shorty due back on the scene. i would love to see johnos car with a close ratio sequential box to make the most of the engine if he decided to start dragging instead of the top speed runs.
phil nicoles rover now has over 650+bhp through the front wheels and he s a mapper for aet turbos , has done loads of development work and i mean loads , runs thin rear drag tyres and extra wide front tyres and iam sure he only does around the 12 secs.
good luck if your after lower than that as we are talking about some serious machinery here
cheers paul

a local older guy round my way has a pretty quick fwd c20 let nova that did high 12's,think its getting built into a corsa now.he tried telling me he rebuilt a standard s2 and that did a 13 sec run at crail.i had a s2 cab which had 164 bhp atw and that did a mid 15sec run.im sure sitech has the title but im unsure what time it is.but if ade sees this he will know what that time was.

I've done a 12.2 over a year ago. On a concrete strip, with an open diff and road tyres. Using a T34 turbo. 11's are a bit harder. But hopefully will have some soon.

Crazycage - Are you going to use drag raidials for next season? I bought a set
Defo want a very low 12 out of mine when its done. You get my PM btw?
Havent you run a high 12 now?
As stated quickest is MK/Tim/Si that are widely known, though theres rumours of other FWD Fords that recieve a lot less attention running firmly in the 12s. Isnt Luca in the 12s?
Your right though there has been some big power Fords, SOY for one never seemed to put in the numbers it should have!

Next yyear should be a LOT more intersting for FWD fords and drar racing, and maybe even a TOTB team!
Another of my mates is currently building a mega specced mk6 Fiesta turbo on gas (though Burtons appeared to have skimmed his pistons a little too much lol). I know he's aming for 400 off gas though and wants to run it at Pod as soon as its mapped.

I like the way you put the responsiblity on Mark! LOL!
I will let the dyno/camshaft lobe duarabuility figures do the talking!
Who knows how mine will put the figures down? All i can say so far is that power delivery feels VERY progresive! I thought traction would be more of an issue than it is! But I am only running a bar with an open diff!?

his best times were done at brunters 1/4 mile in 12.8 0-100 9.5
and running a baby T3 turbo and wasnt running smoothly, theres a vid of it on youtube.
