Default help needed A.S.A.P

my cossy packed up this morning at 5.30am,ive managed to get it dumped on a mates drive but is blocking his cars in.

i was driving up the road,it stalled, just died,it would turn over but not start,i left it 5mins it started, before i could get it moved it stalled again, then the starter just started clicking,i put jump leads on it,it fired up no problem, moved 2miles and conked again,i repeated this process till i got it my mates, anybody have any idea whats up? i dont want to keep jumping it,it had a new battery and alternator 2months ago.

sorry to put in here mods but i need to get it sorted today to get it back to its storage.

also if its the starter do the breakers sell them? i could get to pete today, cos the useless fuckwit motorfactors round here dont keep anything in stock

all help appreciated

try another battery mate, then check the voltage coming from alt.
any kwik fit etc can do it for free if you cant do it yourself.

Get a mutilmeter on to check the voltage at the battery when car is running. 13.4v-14.2v is about normal.

Has it had a crank sensor recently or not?

when you put it in storage, take the battery off and stick it on a rubber car matt, it will realy slow down it dieing, should be ok like that for a few months, just make sure its on a rubber mate or it will drain if its on the floor/bench
