Default Drinking Canned Out of Date lager?

Is it ok to Drink O.O.D canned lager? I've just found a 24 can case of Carling in the garage that went out in August 2007. I've drank 2 cans and it tastes ok.

i was always under the impression that canned/tinned food stuffs were given a best before date, not a used by date, so its more of a guideline as to if its going to taste its best rather than be fatal

worst case scenario, u get the shits, but its essentially a free case of beer, well worth risking a couple of toilet dashes

Will be fine as it hasnt been opened before.

I once drank a bottle of cider I opened and drank half of, then a year later found it, tasted like sherry for some reason but still got me pissed and were no ill effects I noticed.

Was a student so wasnt about to waste alcohol at the time

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanol_fermentation. If yeast is present the strength of the alcohol content will be stronger so the Carling will be like drinking Stella maybe xD
