OIL PUMP FAILURE? CARE TO HELP DIAGNOSE?

did this suddenly happen and you lost all oil pressure, or was you losing pressure over time?

i was going to say maybe its got too hot, but not so sure now, surprised a genuine pump has done that

Its a combination of heat and revs I suspect, most of the tuners for these engines move over to a steel gear in the pump like the one I use in my nova as the original cast items are strong enough for being abused.

Looks a very similar failure to Nic's(muppetsport), infact thats how they all go really.

As chip says steel gears help but i'd be tempted to switch to a zlet item as its has steel gears as standard and imo slightly better design.
