RSOC National Day 2009 - New date!
Donno have just pulled the plug and National Day is now Sun 13th Sept!
Not happy as I've just lost £300 on flights and hotel!

No its true. I had a phone call this afternoon saying Donno had pulled out due to wanting to get the track ready for next year, bit short fucking notice though! Especially when people have booked hotels etc and cant get the money back!
Apparently there was an emergency meeting tonight with the comittee to sort it out.

Donny is a mega venue, just the people who run it are complete bell ends IMO. Maybe if they said this 3 months ago, but a month before the show? Joke IMO.

Unreal - all the advertising - Loss of money etc not the RSOC fault but they're the ones that are going to get the shite.
Will donno pay compo to the club for loss of money on the day as loads will just not bother due to losing on flights and hotel reservations

i was gonna try and rush and get my car ready to be trailered to the show on its original date, but even jesus would struggle to get it done to the new timescale

Bit pissed off, booked into the travel inn on none refundable / no amendments rooms.
And I already had my weekend of the 12th / 13th planned to attend Blenheim Palace Horse Trials, glad I did not pre-book tickets for that !!!
However, I can see this is not the fault of the RSOC, donnington park's fuck up !!

As dave has said, this is going to be a difficult time for the organisers of nat day, I just hope this doesn't end up costing the club money if the attendance is low then it will,I hope donno are taking this into account.
