Not sure what its like on a 4wd ,but on a 2wd the difference was unreal. Short, sharp changes, gave it a bit more of a race car-ish feel.
I've heard storys of it not being good for the box. I Had it fitted on a saff for over 3 years without any probs tho.
Cheers

Got one on my saph with a Bara straight cut box and it knackered the third gear synchro in within about 600 miles. I'll admit that I do drive the car hard but I feel the synchro would have lasted a lot better with the standard lever IMO.
Ok the gearshift feels a lot nicer with the B&M and the standard one feels sloppy in comparison but looking back, I wish I'd gone for one of Mike Rainbirds quickshift knuckles as these are supposed to be a lot kinder to the synchros.
If you drive the car hard, stick with the standard lever or fit the the R&B Motorsport knuckle. If you don't drive it hard, fit the B&M.
I will be swapping my B&M for the knuckle when the box comes out to be rebuilt over the winter.
Another thing to bear in mind too, the B&M rattles like fuck at certain speeds and drives me FOOKIN NUTS!!!!! LOL!

i fitted them to both my old 4x4 saphs massive improvement over the sloppy change but you get the whole lever/gear knob with it,if i had another id go for the knuckle type and retain original look
the reason they are bad for 2wd is you end up shifting gear quicker than the box can cope with

i had 1 on my evo and loved it. the gear change was spot on and never missed a gear the only down side was when it was cold it was hard to get 1st and because it has a metal knob its bloody cold on your hand in winter
