Doesnt come accross that way at all, he comes across as not enjoying life hence he seems to want to live through this forum.
That may sound hypocritical coming from someone who also uses this forum a lot, but I come on here a lot because the core subject matter interests me, and I only to talk to the same sort of people in the same sort of ways on here that I do in real life, where as he seems to come on here to live out a fantasy life, for him it seems like it is one of those "second life" games on the net you read about.
In real life it appears that he has disadvantages, social interaction issues, inability to interact with the opposite sex etc, on here he can pretend to be confident and outgoing while hiding behind his screen.
Different people use forums for different things, and in his case I dont think its to fit in with the rest of his life like it is to those of us who use it a lot but do so as ourselves, for him its to attempt to actually replace chunks of himself and his life with something different.

What are you going on about? I've came on here and done nothing more than voice my opinion of people. How is that hiding behind something? You'll find the endless ammount of people who go onto threads and tag all the nasty comments about you and others behind their back are the ones hiding behind something, not me.

Personally, I find this forum has improved lately, it was horribly cliquey a few years back, but in the last year or two I have found it much improved.

People getting to know me? They have done so as and when I've been to the meets, cars shows and occasional night out. So I have no reason to behave in such a mannersim when quite a few people have met me off the forum and will continue to do so. Benni, I dont need to meet you to see the difference between how you are on here and how you are in real life, thats been obvious from the posts you do make about your actual life occasionally where you come across as a very pathetic figure indeed, you keep saying on here about not caring what anyone thinks of you, and yet your posts about your actual life have always been about giving people lifts around in the hope they will like you etc and how you always get used as a result, how even you own family treat you with no respect etc. All very different from the persona you seem to attempt to put across on here where you pretend to be confident and outgoing etc.

I think this is by far the most clique forum I go on, by a huge margin. You see a lot of threads going unanswered.
I certainly don't think I'm part of any 'crowd' though I do find it interesting that some people who posted saying they didn't think it was a problem, are definately part of the crowd, perhaps without realising it.
I think a lot of the problems lie with the fact that if it isn't a Cosworth/RS/very fast/powerful, then you won't get much of a response. I understand that to a degree, because the extreme cars are the most interesting, but not everyone can afford a massively powerful car, or afford to run a Cosworth/RS so I do think it's a shame that a lot of the other models get ignored. An Escort GTI or some such might be someone's pride and joy and the best they can afford, but to many on here, it's nothing. It's a shame, because as enthusiasts, I think people should commend people's efforts and enthusiasm, be it a 1.1 Fiesta or an 800bhp Cosworth. We work with what we can afford. I hate seeing cars slagged off on here. One thread springs to mind slating the RS1800 Fiesta. Yes it might not be your thing, it isn't really mine, but I think saying they're crap or not 'worthy' of the badge is a bit much. At least show some respect for people's likes and dislikes.
I can't really see myself being part of the crowd anytime soon, I spend more time on other forums. And most tend to be very welcoming. But that's because most of the forums I'm on lean more towards lower spec Fords, rather than the RS models which, sadly, in my experience can lead to some snobbery. I've offered been looked down upon for only driving a MK6 Escort, which I find a bit sad to be honest.
Anyway, doesn't really matter too much does it lol. Have met some sound people on here and been offered help by people I barely even know, which is what it's all about, sharing a passion and helping each other enjoy it.
