Default Chris Knott: What a bag of shit

What a bag of wank Chris Knott insurance turned out to be. Apparently they cant give me a quote unless I park off the road. Forget the fact im 27, 5yr ncb with a sensible car

Im having to go with Privilige *shiver* it makes me feel so old

Try Direct Line! They were the best for me by far. Even though it was a renewal again too.

You only learn how good an insurance is when you make a claim.

They always used to be about double the price of everybody else for me. I was trying to insure a standard Focus 1.6 at the time.

They are a specialist ( modified ) insurance company So they are not competitive for boring standard cars

have been with them a few times over the years, allway been ok for me

But one of only 2 companies in the UK that would even quote on my car all mods claimed with use of Nitrous. Greenlight were the other but even they didnt like talk of over 800bhp.

I have used Adrian Flux numerous times for Ford, BMW and Mitsi and they've always been okay and sometimes the cheapest.

Greenlight had my business for years, then last year decided to completely fuck up their customers, and would not do quotes over the phone? .. They also decided to offer me a 12k agreed value on a very modified Escort Cosworth, when I had asked for 22k, I mean a standard Escort will fetch 12k, and my gearbox was 4k on it's own .... And then if you read the small print, you don't even get the agreed value half of the time!!! The amount of business they must have lost is amazing, as at least 7 of my mates were insured with them have now gone elsewhere as the customer service has gone from fantastic to awful...

So I am now with Adrian flux, who have agreed a value of 22k with me for the Escort, and will pay out in all circumstances ...

You should try Bell car insurance. Were the cheapest for me by far and others I know.

At the end of the day, all insurance companies are cunts when it comes to paying out , I just hope I never need to claim as I quite like my 10 years NCB, and 22k would still be well short of what the Escos owes me

I've just heard a few too many horror stories about them mate!

I was once offered a really good deal by them on a car, and was very tempted, but decided against it. Their customer service is very good until they get your money, then it seems to go to pot!

Exactly and Chris Knot springs to mind straight away
Not just me , but a few others i know of have had shit loads of trouble from them
One even had his car removed to what might as well have been the other end of the country and when asked to "retain the salvage" he had to pay the storage and the car was robbed of most of its goodies while in storage
My car, i parked it at the back of the workshop and had it on axle stands with no wheels and when the recovery truck came ( after they said they would NOT send it) i said " good luck"
Sorted it in the end but my god what a load of neadless hassel
