Are 4x4 and 2wd pistons different? I cant even remember what mine looked like when i took them out.

They are 4x4 items as the 2wd ones have a flat 2 pence diameter in the center

they arent std at al...look like some low comp ones that have had the outsides machined down to suit a decked block..or maybe some flat tops that have had the centres machined to lower the comp..wierd pistons!!! cheers danny

I have recipts that came with the car for brand new mahles being machined to 7.2:1, but you can't always trust recipts lol
Also none of us know what machined pistons look like, so thought it best to ask

Paul if there are no markings on the piston then they have been modded but as for comp ratio you will have to measure to be sure

dont listen to me then...they are not std as theyve been machined...they wont be low comp either as its not a big enough bowl...the block has been decked or they were flat top pistons that someone has put a bowl in...iv built shit loads of ybs so take my word for it..danny

the height of the crown is a bit short to be std unless machined down. also that bowl is not std either. my 2 pence worth...
