And if it does sell, don't know wether to go for a Capri 3100 or an Escort RS1600 / Twin Cam.

Which would still leave a Vauxhall Chevette HSR, Lotus Sunbeam and an Opel Manta 400 on my wish list.

Wish I hadn't been born in the 60's and still live in the 80's.........

indeed..........this is all from memory but IIRC there were 14 D plate registered 500's with 4 of them being the prototypes in white and the rest in were press cars.

daz has one of the prototypes (all white), one was broke, 3 of the batch of 14 D platers went abroad (cant remember the colours) 2 came back and went on E plates one of them i think andy pen has is white was a parts validation vehicle and the other was a test vehicle. So it would be interesting to see which one Spiky has seen.

i have had cars that don't show on them cheepo check it out for free internet sites, that might be because its on a cherished plate or been off the road for years.

its weird when you do check and nothing comes up but in the garage its sitting there.

the only way i would say to check a car is with a proper hpi check or contact the old bill, i have done that and they will give you info regards the cars history.

Pound to a penny its another wild goose chase, I doubt its a standard 3dr as very few of them come up with low miles as they were used from day 1 - it tends to be 500s that were stashed away

I would love to be proved wrong though
How do Paul mate , 3 were AMT training cars also mate , 3 of he first 14 were Press appraisal cars , and your right non had FMC plates , i too would love it to be on a private plate and see another lower than low mileage 500 to pop up , but i doubt it will be .

how Do mate , your right with your figures , and facts about the cars coming home , i do in fact own one of the 4 , witch are indeed all white , to date all 4 white cars are still alive albeit spread around Europe , all 4 have very interesting histories

I am Still around paul mate , just do the 500 stuff in private these days rarely post on bb's ,too many too-faced ass's , lets hope we are wrong , my son had a chat with a guy who's friend has a Moonstone rs500 and has since new , in lancs , 6000 miles from new , that turned out to be a 3Dr , common misconception sadly

nope no pics , even if it is a 3Dr with that mileage would be worth a look , proper diamond if it is , as long as it's stored correctly
