Gutting to see the pics of it in such a mess! The failure of the spline is perhaps due to the power steering not working at totb and from when I saw him bringing it out of the tent he was having to realy pull at the wheel to get it to turn!

I am sure he will have it fixed in not too much time!

the main problem is that the spline is not really designed to power assisted before the rack...lasted two years thou!

Good news Andy mostly being panel damage, be up and back where it belongs (on track) in no time, must have been a frightner tho!

And here was me thinking possibly in for breaking, not that i want the shocks off it!

Doesnt look like ANY movement in the strut tops, will be interesting to see when you get the jig on it though.

So is majority of the parts salvagable, including the new engine and the actual frame of the car repairable Andy?

Sux that this car was hit but.........

Looks like it will be the best advert for your competition shell/cage services you could have imagined

Walked away bruised? You owe your welder a pint or 20

Hope you get it back up and running i've followed this car from new and I love it

Glad your not injured this could so easily be a very different thread

doesn't seem to look too bad Andy

How's Tommy? Has he stopped shaking yet, LOL

Looks like you's will be busy for a few weeks but you've got till september before your racing so no rush

Hows your other half too? She looked a bit upset and shook up or was that the hangover after all the aftershocks her and Claire were necking?? Claire was rough all day till about 4pm so never drove home as she promised

With your skills looks like it will be back together in no time, glad you and the new engine are ok. Apart from that B-pillar it all looks mainly panel damage - strong car!

Does anybody else get a similar feeling of this car and story following that of the Stian Hafsengen escort WRC? Lets hope for a good rebuild and then a brilliant return at an event!

Firstly Andrew glad you just walked away .
My son told me about this a friend at FF sent him a picture just after it had happened. Best of luck with the rebuild Andrew, it looks like the you know what will be waiting on you & not me. The most extreme Ford around will be back im sure.
Regards Rod
