Default Just ordered my rods and turbo deceided

Arrows.....rated to 10000rpm

GT35 external wastegate...screamer pipe for running in..ROFL Unfortunately i cant keep it like it as apparently doin a top speed run with it will alter the air turbulance under the car making it unstable....dont want to harm poor old Mike now do we Aiming for 650bhp plus on race fuel and around 600bhp pump fuel.

Every other specification is secret and will remain that....as like all other big bhp boys we dont want everyone doin it,thats if i acheive it and it dont blow on the dyno

Who the fuck told you that a screamer pipe will cause the car to become unstable at high speed?

have the screamer pipe come out of the top of the bonnet, that would be proper bo.

I read that bit about the car become unstable and had to bite my lip not to comment to be honest.
Its SO dependant on where you route it, and anyway you can always just plumb it back into the normal exhaust instead after the external gate instead of using it asa screamer pipe, if you are going to do that then i can see NO value of running it in on a screamer pipe instead. just more work for no gain.

I'm sure I saw a pic of a Fiesta at brunters last week with
exhaust AND screamer pipes exiting just under the front bumper

And that Feista did rather well as regards top speed IIRC

What professionals told you that Phil? They obviously stupid

What about cars like, say, the Mazda 787B LeMans car, ALL the exhausts came out of one side, so why could that thing to 250mph no problemo?

Cause your talking bollocks

At full boost and high revs almost fuck all will come out the screamer pipe if your going for 600+ on a GT35 anyhow

You lot are chimps youy really are Yeah as if i gonna run a pipe out the side on a road car A bit dangerous? So where would i have to run it to remain concealed?..So its pumping out under the car...so would interupt the flow of air there at 180 plus mph no?

Mike not at all...only on conrod choice as this is the weakest link...goodbye

Phil, a screamer pipe under the car wont cause you any grief aerodynamically, its the accelerated air over the car that your better off worrying about

If you think you have undisturbed, laminar flow (do you even know what that means ??) under the car at 180 mph....you need to go back to school.

You'll have *all kinds* of swirling and flow reversal under there and unless you go to some sort of integrated 'flat bottom' or 'tunnel' setup.....you're just pissing in the wind worrying about it.

It WILL disrupt flow, in the same way that having a crap before you take the drive will effect power to weight, i REALLY wouldnt worry about it, loads of very high speed cars use screamers.

My new screamer pipe exits straight out dowd under the car, don't want it chucking anything out the side towards sound meters...

The big point you are missing is that the screamer pipe is where the gasses that bypass the turbo go, on a relatively smaller turbo and running your car flat out there wont be enough air coming out of that pipe to blow up a baloon let alone lift your cossie 6 foot in the air and induce a triple backflip.

If i speak to pros who say it can disturb the air enuff to cause slight instability at top speed runs then i beleive them as they been there DONE that ...Mikes safety is the most important thing as he is driving it....so i will er on the side of caution instead of listening to book worms!

Porkie how loud is it?????

It has nothing to do with books, it has to do with your lack of understanding of fluid flow.

Why not ask Mike if he'd drive it with the screamer pipe venting downward.

Not to mention that there should be NO flow through the pipe other than during shifts or overboost conditions, but I guess you've overlooked this or have a really shitty boost controller.

For someone with seemingly very little DEEP technical knowledge, you certainly do like to spew more than your share of bullshit.

Phil, would you please NAME the pro's that told you this stuff?

Or have they specifically told you that they dont want their name(s)
publically associated with your "DIY" project?

Personally, the more i read your posts the more sorry i feel for whoever has to drive the car.

I wouldnt want to do a top speed run in a milkfloat if you did the safety checks on it first.

YOU....offend ME.....not likely.....

Amuse, maybe....but not offend

Its always entertaining to see you pretend to know things that you don't and back pedal when you get called on it by someone who does know.

Its not like I'm an aero engineer or anything......

Why not just register

www.phils-little-world.com

and publish it all on there where no can an argue with you?

I have no doubt of that either mate, but its a question of whether it lasts the trip to brunters
