a tiny amount of engine exhasut vs thousands of litres of air going round the car...

I forgot about that

I think phil will build a quick car, but i dont think phil knows how to, this is a M.A.D. job i think, phils just putting the bits together.

I cant see it being a record breaker, but i can imagine around 600bhp is on the cards and it being mentally fast like any 600bhp car is.

Mechanics build cars, tuners spec engines.

Did anyone ever see the other engines, the alleged 450bhp/500bhp ones?

I take it this one is for real as we talking brunters a lot.

Matt....people gang up on me cause they wanna be me......its great ..Jealousy has always been rife to someone who carrys on regardless of the shit but still acheives the impossible dreams...they have to pay tuners so anyone who can do it themselves gets hated cause they cant do it

Chimp/matt etc why not just admit you cant do it and be done with it?...Its not a bad thing you know Reading books dont make you an expert......except in trying to intimidate someone who actually does what they read

Uh....I've done it

Built championship winning motorcycle engines as well as normal street car engines and ones for rally. In fact, I just dropped the block and pistons off at the machine shop after work yesterday for my 34mm restrictor engine for the 2005 season. I do the mapping myself too....on the dyno.

So as the resident DIY 'expert' who's blown up more than a few $$$ worth of Cossie lumps, you are going to advise me on how to build engines....thanks, but I'll pass.

Its not been driven yet, being worked on over the last few days. It is silenced though.... The new sysytem has been done to make the car quieter, not make it more powerful.

Mark Shead has advised me on con rods yes...oh and some other bits i have taken some of the advice but gone my own way on other bits i am sure Mark will confirm......it would be foolish not to get people opinions on such a big bhp project ....Everyones specs comes about from talking/reading etc anyway so i dont see your point Steve?

Copy coopers ring gasket blew...

Took it off and found the RS500 block cracked around middle 6 bolt holes due to using std head bolts on 2.3 bar cause i was told to

"Unlike you"
So phone Alex@AH Fabrications and ask about the intercooler he made (Or just look at the pics ive posted)
Phone Ian@Racetek and ask about the other bits ive got from him.
Phone Joe@Forced Performance and ask about the 1000bhp+ turbo ive bought (Or look at the pic)
Phone Lee@Greenline and ask about the JUN oilpumps (yes, 2) i bought and crank collars.
Phone Robbie@RIPS in NZ and ask about the big capacity steel bottomend, custom crank girdle, custom inlet and exhaust manfiolds, custom sump and full oil system, managment, wastegate, etc etc, ive bought (or look at my pics for half of it )
Phone ATI and ask about the drag crank damper ive bought.
And so on and so forth....

REALLY should think before you type

Thas fine, just the impression you was giving out was that it was basicly just bulding what he told you to, you say its not, so

Of course thats a good thing, youd be crazy to ignore people, its just like i said, had the impression this was a MAD specced engine.
I take advice, use or adapt what i agree with then i ignore the bits i disagree with, and go from there.

Sounds like you doing the same then if its not just a sheady specced special...

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Its the lines of flow around the car in the diagram above. Its how F1 (and other) teams augment their wind tunnel testing.

Basically it shows flow around an object for a given set of conditions and Reynolds numbers.

Steve...you paid all that off Oh and i can assure you Mark Shead would NOT use the spec engine that i am using this is truly an experiment...that could go drastically wrong....but if i pull it off...well who knows...maybe the tuning world will change?

Mike after speaking with the machine shop about the cutouts it will reduce the compression by .1 and i know what it will be before the cut outs go in I am not discussing spec any further as there are too many book experts here for me who want to try dazzle me with there knowledge instead of getting up and practising what they preach
