Right, basicly i've been to the doctors about my multiple issues and he's signed me off for a week for my back to get better and so they can do 'normal' blood tests to see if i'm diabetic like he thinks i am.. so i phoned my supervisor to tell him and he says i have to take the doctors sick note to the job center to get paid for being off sick??

Anyone ever heard of this or is he just being a tosser as usual ?

 

Never heard of that at all mate, I think that's bollocks TBH. You get paid by your employer, not by the DSS, unless your self employed or unemployed.

 

You have to take your sick note into work and then they will pay you your Statutory Sick Pay.

Sounds like your supervisopr is being a t**t.

 

i did kind of wonder if he was hinting that i shouldn't bother going back, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest !

 

You dont need a sick note from the docs for the first 5 days. Its self cert

 

Dont sound right to me, my old work just used to take the sick line with docs signature!

if hes trying to hint i wouldnt say anything until he came out and said it!
