gearbox in with pics
out of all my rebuild i thought this would be a bastard!! of a job but it went so smooth
i will post soon my rebuild on my e4 , the engine is e6 but heres a few pics of putting the gearbox on :thumb:
first heres a pic of my new clear cam cover from the usa
new oem uprated clutch
home made clutch centering tool works 100% :thumb:
here it is broken down its a 10 plug socket with just enough tape around it to to the clutch and a 10mm socket a very small one just fits on the flywheel
slowly bring the engine down until it meets with the gearbox ive got everything on wheels
at this point look threw the little hole and see if the spindle is lined up with the clutch you might have to put a spanner on the crank and just move it a tad til you feel the spindle go in
nearly in, and job done now remember to move your clutch fork forward to click in and its done smooth as a babys bottom
i will post a few more when i have time

Well done
They go on a lot easier than they come off... i struggled for ages with mine trying to get the release bearing to seperate from the pressure plate
