Default Procedure for starting a ............

series one engine thats been stood for 8 years?

What parts would you change ?
What would you do in order ?

Bear in mind thats its had a new petrol tank,fuel filter.water hoses and boost hoses.

Anything else that would be nessassary for bedding it in when running .

any help/info would be greatly appricated

Oil
filter
coolant
500 miles then change the oil/filter again

id change the oil and put fresh petrol in (if theres been petrol in it for 8 years that is)

and maybe the minor service items, airfilter sprak plugs leads, or maybe thats a bit over the top!?

as above with fresh oil. filter and fuel.

Bit would turn it over by hand of the crank pully, then after a few turn, I would most likely tunr it over without the plugs in to pump some oil over without to much pressure.

The give it a gentle run out and after a few hundred miles change the oil and fuilds.

personally id put a timing belt on it first just in case and then oil change

if it aint been started in 8 years it will proberbly need a load of the ruber seals replacing when rubber gets old it dries out

I would yeh.I would try and stop the fuel getting to the engine and just turn the engine over with the key a few times.

I wouldn't turn the engine over ,i'd be priming the oil pump first,the turbo charger and the oil gallery
