Neil A - you obviously havnt done enough "work", I tried lino once.

Oil, water and size 14 steel toe cap boots are not a good combo...

cant find a decent pic, will hunt one out.

Ive got the car area, a wash sink, kettle, toasted and george forman. and heating.

then a work bench area, with everything from compressor to 10mm spanner, will dig out pics.

In middle is a 7x3 pit with electrics and fluressents- best thing ive done!!!!!!!!!

only got outside shot so far

The only reason i have a carpeted garage is because when we moved in the whole house bar kitchen and bathrooms had that carpet!!!!
We removed it from everywhere bar our room and stairs so far.
I really dont know why the folk had that colour everywhere. Must have been a good deal

BEST thing ever is carpet. I use the garage as another room really and it's my escape
It's already got proper plasterboard walls etc.

thats not 'lino' pmsl, they are plastic squares that knit to each other, like a jigsaw.

none on my garage yet as i'm working on the drive, going to put up a garage door, roof etc..on the drive, leading to the garage at the back of the drive.

Lee its workshop flooring there reinforced plastic foot squares that clip together. Decided once i sold the cosworth and the garage became somewhere to store a car ,rather than fix it i might aswell make it fancy

I still think a 1980's floral pattern carpet would look better, with underlay of course

Mine:

too small really but you can just about jack it up on 4 axle stands and squeeze round it to do work on.

I want to expand it sideways another 0.75 metre as that will make a massive difference to the working space around the car. Its just doable under revised planning rules without any planning permission as it will lie within the 75% rule.

From the outside you can see the front wall is already wide enough and id only loose the border in the rear yard.
