Anyone had any experience with them as i might be getting one. They are supposed to be one oth the best MPVs on the market and ideal for a family (dog also).
Id just like to know what other people think.

Ive hired one before and I hate the little a-pillar window. It fucks with your vision and you find yourself driving too close to the line markers on motorways for some reason, both me and my partner said this after driving it on our own. 7 seats is okay if your taking no luggage with you. 1.8 sri is slow as hell too

A friend of mine had one as a rental and something snapped doing a burnout. Whenever you turned left my friend said the wheel would make clanging noises. My friend also said his other rental and courtesy cars have taken much more abuse. Hope that helps - LOL.

thats what rental cars are for. i hired a merc that went back with a dashboard like blackpool illuminations with warning lights flashing, i broke a 1000 mile 307 then returned the replacement civic with no wing mirrors.

My brother in law had a GSI and under 35k iirc it needed a new turbo. I understand its a reasonably common fault.
Woman who works for me has a 1.6 or 1.8 petrol (not sure) poverty spec thats had a handful of problems but most notably 2 new ecus in under 18 months which manifested itself in an intermittent cutting out, usually on roundabouts or somewhere equally concerning! Would just die, then just turn over and not fire, then fire up and be fine for a few hours.

my mate has had a couple and both did the job well, he did look after them and didn't really abuse them. The only thing i've heard that would worry me is that when the third row seat are in use they sit very close to the rear of the car and don't perform well at all safety wise when in a rear end smash. maybe something worth thinking about if carring the family about.

I think most of the MPV's have the problem of the 3rd row being close to the tailgate. even the grand voyager! out of curiosity i looked on google and it appears NCAP don't even test rear impacts.

I've got a GSI model and would happily recommend, had no problems with it at all, nice half leather interior,DVD player, sat nav .Drives and handles like a car ,quite quick too(200bhp). The third row seats are very pratical and fold away very well leaving ample boot space if required.
