An S-Max and a Galaxy?
I honestly thought they stopped selling the Galaxy when they introduced the S-max, but I've seen two brand new ones parked together at work, and can't see any major difference that would warrant having both in the range?
They look virtually identical, I have looked on the Ford website and can't see any difference between the two, so I must be missing something somewhere

Porkie - Wrong!!
Taken from ford website....
7-seat S-MAX
The S-MAX is a special 7-seat model that means you can enjoy all the contemporary style of this exciting car, but with the added flexibility of all that extra space. If you regularly travel with friends or family, and indulge in activities that need bulky equipment, then this model is ideally designed to suit your needs.
Galaxy
Luxurious personal space
All seven seats in the Galaxy can be adjusted forwards and backwards, and each one has an adjustable seatback. So everyone will arrive at their destination relaxed and comfortable.
Ford Fold Flat System (FFS)
Seven comfortable seats slide forwards, backwards, and individually recline. Plus, with FFS, you have an incredible 32 seat configurations at your disposal. If you need more space, the second and third row seats fold absolutely flat in seconds, without needing to be removed. The Galaxy really does welcome travellers, and whatever they bring with them.

The S-Max is the more sporty model and is aimed at families etc. The galaxy is more for executive travel etc.
Both do indeed have 7 seats. Which quite amusingly they have a system called FFS for the fold flat seats! haha! The S-max also is the only one of the two which can have the 2.5 engine out the st.
