Question Torque Wrench

Hi guys, i need a torque wrench for rebuilding my escort. I've already got a Laser 1/2" drive which torques 10-150 ft/lbs.

I need a smaller one for fuel banjo's etc, doesn't need to be that great top end but needs to be accurate down low. Around 5 ft/lbs since they need 8 ft/lbs. Found this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Precision-TORQ...3A1%7C294%3A50

Is it any good? I don't know how accurate cheaper tools are and can't find a decent name one that'll go low enough.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 3/8 drive TENG, these are good quality, and backup too.
Comes with calibration certificate as well, about £50 -£70, can't remember now, but I'd be wary of a company able to produce quality at such a low price as the ad.

That will be about as useful as you just guessing, as will your Laser wrench also.
Spend the money, or don't bother. The Halfords Pro range are very good for the money, get the small and the large and bin your Laser piece of shit!

The laser felt quite good quality...

Didn't think it could be too far out if it's got certificate?

What about Draper, Laser and Sealey?

mate at the end of the day you get what you pay for, if you want something to be done right then you gotta pay the money for it.

the halfords pro range isnt badly priced and has a lifetime warrenty and comes with a certificate and you can get a small one for doing the low torques.

the laser may feel good but doesnt mean it aint cheap tat! put it this way, i had a CVH valve stem tool that ate itself the first time it was used! literally ate itself, was made from monkey metal and as soon as you started to do the adjustor up the nut ate through the bit it was meant to compress! thats how bad the tools are!

I'll see if i got the receipt to take it back then lol. Failing that ebay.

I thought sealey and draper were bit better?

The sealey ones look good. Thought it'd be cheaper for the smaller ones but not so.

Found a couple of these (Teng 3892AG-E1) on the bay, assuming they're the same as you use? On a tool website they show two options, certified and not, if it's the same tool and i'm just using it at home does it matter which?

This one looks great but doesn't say certified: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TENG-TOOLS-389...3A1%7C294%3A50

Opinions?
