What are they like? Comments most appreciated even if it is a renault.

i've driven a clio 1.8 16v, one with the big arches and that was right a hoot!!, very fun and nimble little car

Yeah my mates lady had one and he said for what it was it was quick but i hear the 2ltr WILLIAMS is quite a tool in a funny way

I too had a 16v (not williams) and found it not as appealling as my previous car which was a standard frst so i sold it after owning it a month and bought another turbo

yes i drove one. Thraped fook out of it at dealers about 4 years ago. Dealer asked me what i thought. I said shit and gave him keys and walked away

To be fair though i did like it, power was even all the way through. Just wanted to drive it and not buy it

Someone else just been on here asking bout clios..lol. Can only go from my experience which is driving my bird's valver, and my mates when he had his pre Punto GT era. The valvers are 1.8 engines as opposed to the Willy's 2 litre. Handling is top. Power is around 150BHP I believe. From what I can gather the Williams 1 & 3 are the cars to go for. The Willy 2 was made too soft and was to appeal to a wider market (similar to the S1/S2 factor which Ford introduced). Renault then took note that the Willy 2 was being slated & returned to the old W1 formula when introducing the W3.
