Default mt75 gearboxs

hi everyone, i need to get hold of a cheap gearbox for my 4x4 cossie, as the 2nd gear is shot on my box. Now ive been offered a ghia 4x4 gearbox and been told there the same as a cossie one is this true? and has anyone had one on there cossie on here? i myself cant see them being any good in a cossie running stage 3. cheeRS

I ways thought the MT75 is a MT75, but the differance was the bell housing is differant if its a 2.9 compaired to a 2.0.

so if the box is out of a 2.0 ghia then it will be fine.

I stand to be corrected though

If its from a 2 litre then it will fit a 4x4 cos, you have to use the clutch release arm from the cosworth and tap out the pivot pin for the arm as well and fit it to the 2 litre box and it fit fit straight on and work fine

if you have a 4wd cossie and need a box then the dohc one will fit in place, with the mods as described

edited to say it's the same box so will handle the same ammont of power before it goes bang
