Whilst they lack the power of the TDCi, they are reputedly a very very long lasting power plant.

I've got one as the 'works van'. Can't fault it one bit, its got 140k on the clock and never missed a beat, only had usual service bits done.

I've had it 5 years and it had 24k on the clock when I bought it, only big thing was a water pump @ 110k which isn't bad I think!

It is only a 90bhp engine but i'm running bluefin and it it pulls like the clappers! I do a lot of driving between london/northwest and northeast and touch wood has NEVER let me down!
Just make sure its had cambelt changes as the correct interval!
I hoping to get 200k out of mine!

Hope this helps!!

The wife's got one and it's fine as a family car - The only criticism is the size of the boot. It could with being a bit bigger, and can just about manage a week's shopping. Nice and fun to drive though, with good handling.

I run a TDDi Focus - 160k on the clock and goes like a bird. Had a water pump go and that's about it. Serviced regularly, starts on the button and fully loaded. Does 550 miles on a tank at 80 - I love the car to bits. Can't praise them enough.
