Default Ford S-Max Child Lock Problem

Hey all

Quick question on behalf of a friend. He owns a 57 plate S-Max 2.5 and has found the child lock to go tits up.

He's taken it back to Ford and they have said its not covered under the warranty and that the part that is needed will cost him £200. Surely the child lock should be covered under warranty as its a fault on a car that is just over a year and a half old.

Are Ford just being cunts again with not being bothered?

Thanks guys

It may fall under the wear and tear, but I doubt it?

Should be under warranty i'd have thought? Its hardly a wear and tear item. Take it to another ford stealership!!

What exactly is the problem with it?

You'd be surprised what they class as wear and tear. It is Ford after all.
