I've just bought a Connect and it's come with a cage bulkhead that swings open on the passenger side to allow long lenths inside. Now i'm after a solid steel bulkhead prefferably one of the ones that comes in two parts. Does anyone know how much they cost from Ford or is anyone interested in swapping a solid bulkhead for my cage? I'm an apprentice chippy so I want my tools completely seperate in the back.
Cheers for reading,
stuart.

Cheers for your reply, I've seen the ones on ebay but to be honest they're nearly 200 pounds and they just look like a big flat bit of metal, whereas the ones i've seen in BT vans are actually pressed around the seat backs and what not. 200 notes is alot to be spending on something I could probably make myself out of a big sheet of steel. I want a proper fitted one though

I had one and made my own bulkhead from ply, lost a little room I guess with it being flat not formed steel, but worked just fine, I could fold the passenger seat down and shoulderbarge the bulkhead without it moving.

I got one of the flat ones you mentioned thats cut tpo fit the sides and bolts to the top roof frame and the lower bulkhead for my combo. Think it was around 90 quid on ebay.
Also, in case you wasnt aware (as many new owners aren't), dont forget that the connect is subject to the lower speed limits, so be careful.

Cheers for the replies lads,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EX-BT-TRANSIT-...3A1%7C294%3A50
That's the type I want, are the Royal mail vans the same as that? That one is over 200 miles from me so I don't really fancy a 400 mile roundtrip if I can find one near by or even get one from ford. I'd rather pay a bit more and save driving that far tbh.
S1rst, Cheers for the advice, I was aware of the speedlimits but thanks for the advice anyway
