Fooking Phone!!!
I got a housefone in my house, now its ONLY there for emergeancies such as when i burn the house down, mainly there so I can get Broadband however. Noone has been given the number, everyone rings my mobile....
Yet nearly every evening I get calls around this sort of time to inform me that all my cars are now free, or to inform me i have won xxx, or that I have some exciting offer comming.
Argh, leave me alone!
Dunno how they got the number as its exdirectory and not even I know it lol. Any way to get rid of them?

Register with the Telephone preference service. Once registered - its illegal for companies to make unsolicited calls to you.
Its supposed to take 28 days to take effect - but I did it last week and only had 1 call since
Two weeks ago - I got 10 in one day

Yeah, you always get some foreigner that you can hardly understand trying to sell ya sommat.
I usually do my best to interrupt them... cos lets face it, its not easy when people speak so fast shout I AM NOT INTERESTED!. ....
.... and put the phone down.... they don't usually ring back.....
