i install street lights for a living and while it can easily be done i really wouldnt recommend doing it! mainly because you WILL get caught eventually and they will prosecute you for doing it.

Contact EDF and request a quotation for a connection of service. For street lighting we typically pay about £500 for a new service as long as additional trenching to get to their cable isn't required. that is for an unmetered supply though and you will of course require a metered supply.

You have got to be the biggest pikey on here for this thread?
Stealing power from a street light would never even enter my head? Why not just go through the proper channels and do it legit

You are scum Beefy. You remind me of my neighbour, using his hose pipe when we are on a ban. Three times this week I have caught him at it. All on tape, and all documented with high resolution images.

Cut out the middle man (Just wire directly to a pylon)all you will need is wellys for insulation and just to be sure a pair of those plastic glooves you get from the garage should protect you from any shocks.
Just remember red is live, brown is earth and yellow is the best clour for a smartie and you will be fine
